Regular visitors to Creative Growth know that our annual HOME show is our second biggest event of the year – right behind our popular Holiday exhibition and sale. And the reason why? HOME personifies a certain style of work from Creative Growth artists that makes its mark on a range of objects including pillows, chairs, textiles, mosaics, hand made rugs – in short everything you need to make your house a Creative Growth home.
Join us on Friday, May 4, from 11am-2pm for our HOME members opening and from 5-9pm for our public reception during Oakland’s Art Murmur.
If you are not here at our HOME show, perhaps you can join us in New York where we are thrilled to have Creative Growth artists represented by White Columns gallery, at the very first Frieze Art Fair, New York, May 4-7. Participating at Frieze New York is important for two reasons: –First, it allows CG artists to be presented in one of the most formal contemporary art contexts that exist today – and second, it gives me an opportunity to thank White Columns, and its director Matthew Higgs, for the outstanding support they have shown to our artists for nearly a decade.
