A Cosmos
Curated by Lynne Cooke and Rosemarie Trockel
May 23 - September 24, 2012
Two works by Judith Scott are on view at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía in this exhibition project created by German artist Rosemarie Trockel (1952). Like the old curiosity cabinets of the 17th century, whose collections later became the foundations of today's art and natural history museums, this show delves deeply into the passion for collecting objects. In the display of this particular universe viewers find a series of pieces that are indicative of the artist's ideas and aesthetic affinities and also a selection of pieces of her own creation made over a period of almost three decades.
