Whether it’s painting, textiles, or ceramics, Ruth maintains a unique style of repetition and pattern, creating endless variations of amorphous shapes within abstract color fields. The shapes are largely anthropomorphic, referencing birds, dogs, and sometimes people. There is a strong rhythm that guides Ruth’s dense compositions, perhaps owing to her love for music. Ruth also enjoys collecting jewelry and beads and independently works on embroidery and sewing in her free time.
