Barbara Mealey

Barbara Mealey works primarily in soft sculpture, creating animal forms and pillows that she adorns with tidy embroidery. An adept knitter and crocheter, Mealey also creates garments, sometimes applying her embroidery or painting to existing garments or making them from scratch. Her drawing practice consists of grid patterns in rainbow hues that recalls a more joyful Mondrian.
