Juan Aguilera’s viewing room launches Friday, July 16.
Juan Aguilera was born in Guanajuato, Mexico in 1966. Juan joined the Creative Growth Studio in 1988, and embarked upon a long career developing a deeply personal and expressive style that reflects his veneration of the divine feminine. Calling upon a canon of symbols and media (namely underwear, flowers, lace, and birds), Juan's artwork pays homage to qualities of femininity that he greatly admires — ornamentation and freedom.
Juan’s viewing room will feature his recent assemblage work, as well as his drawings and paintings. This is a great opportunity to learn more about Juan’s history, his thematic perspective, and purchase from a cohesive collection. As a bonus, we were able to visit Juan at his house to record his original song, Pulpito, created especially for this viewing room.
