Jack Starbuck works in a careful manner to depict scenes that he feels close to. Illustrating rich and diverse narratives, the artist mainly works on paper, with materials ranging from color sticks to watercolor. His landscapes are often filled with whimsical or mythological creatures—talking animals, unicorns, or dinosaurs are recurring characters—and Jack has also delved into making artist books, building upon the inherent narrative of his pieces with his own original poetry.
