BEYOND TREND WEEKEND Three-Day Cultural Series Celebrates the Intersection of Art, Food, Music and Fashion in the Bay Area. April 4th - 6th, 2013April 4, 5 & 6 Event Highlights Include:
The launch of leading Bay Area designer, Erica Tanov’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection--inspired by Creative Growth artist works.
Three days of individually designed menus created by Charlie Hallowell of Pizzaiolo, Cal Peternell of Chez Panisse, Samin Nosrat of Tartine Afterhours, Jessica Boncutter of Bar Jules, Traci Des Jardins of Jardinere, and Chris Kronner of KronnerBurger.
A live music performance and DJ sets by Tommy Guerrero & Friends and cosmic-dance band, Shock.
The Beyond Trend host committee includes Kim Hastreiter, Alice Waters, Erica Tanov, Ben and Chris Ospital, Paige Powell and Stephen Walrod and Lauren McIntosh.
Director Tom di Maria shares, "The incredible work of Creative Growth artists has inspired the larger art world and non-profit art centers across the world. Yet, the Bay Area is our home, and remains the most important place for us to celebrate the artists that we serve. The Bay Area is also home to leaders in the world of fashion, food and music, many who want to support the Creative Growth mission, and we are deeply grateful for their talent and commitment"
The main event on Saturday, April 6 includes a live runway show featuring Creative Growth one-of-a-kind clothing, an auction including a luxurious week long stay in at a Paris apartment, a personalized culinary experience via Alice Waters, Chez Panisse and the Edible Schoolyard, ‘his and hers’ designer bicycles by PUBLIC Bikes and more surprises!

Home Show 2013 Thursday, April 4th—Free and open to the public 5 to 8pm Join us in the Creative Growth gallery for the opening of our annual Home Show. This exhibition features inspiring new artwork and textile designs by Creative Growth's internationally renowned artists.
KronnerBurger + Shock Live Performance Friday, April 5th—$30 ticket for dinner and music performance--buy tickets here starting March 1, 2013 5 to 9pm The Creative Growth Studio Party, takes place during Oakland’s first Friday / Art Murmur--featuring a live music performance by cosmic-dance band, Shock, among the emerging, local art crowd with dinner by chef Chris Kronner of KronnerBurger.
Beyond Trend Runway Event & Fundraiser Saturday, April 6th—$100 to $250 ticket levels 6 to 9pm The event series culminates with Beyond Trend, a runway event and auction fundraiser. This year’s event features Erica Tanov’s Spring/Summer 2013 line, based on artwork by Creative Growth artists and including original, one-of-a-kind textile pieces from the Creative Growth studio, styled by Anne Hartford of Maribel, Karen Anderson of Mercy Vintage, and Erica Tanov. Menu designed by Charlie Hallowell of Pizzaiolo, Cal Peternell of Chez Panisse, and Samin Nosrat of Tartine Afterhours. Live music and DJ sets by Tommy Guerrero & Friends.
