Creating Community symposium
This year's symposium will include a keynote presentation and reception, along with a full day of presentations with artists and administrators from progressive art studios. Participants will also share meals and engage in discussion with fellow symposium attendees.
You'll gain access to the Center for Creative Works studios in Wynnewood and Philadelphia, PA as well as the opportunity to explore LOOK HERE project exhibitions at Haverford College’s Cantor Fitzgerald Gallery and VCAM, as well as Atelier and Fleisher/Ollman galleries in Philadelphia, PA. The symposium will conclude with opportunities for post-conference programming in collaboration with Philadelphia area cultural partners.
Held in conjunction with the larger LOOK HERE project, the symposium will provide valuable insights into the intersection of art, disability, and identity.
LOOK HERE is a multiphase project from Center for Creative Works and Haverford College that focuses on the changing narrative around art created in progressive studios and illuminates how neurodivergent artists challenge and expand conventional approaches to artmaking.
